  Having some degree of aphantasia, I experience difficulty conjuring and holding images in my mind’s eye. As such, my work is often organically iterative rather than planned, unfolding by steps into finished pieces. I lay down a line or a form or a batch of color, study it and lay down another until they start to provide their own direction. My work tends to be the result of a lengthy conversation between unconscious focus and the medium, whatever that medium may be.
